For most of us, renting a vehicle is not an everyday occurrence. Below you will find the most frequently asked questions and answers on the subject of rental cars.
Is there a Sunday driving ban?
Yes. According to the German Road Traffic Act, the Sunday driving ban for trucks applies on Sundays and public holidays on the entire German road network between 0 a.m. and 10 p.m. for trucks in commercial traffic with a permissible total weight of more than 7.5 tons.
Is it possible to return the rental car outside the opening hours?
Yes, you can park your car at the stations even outside the opening hours. Our staff will explain the procedure to you when you rent the vehicles. Please note the information on the transfer of risk of the vehicles (GTC).
Can I also get moving and load securing equipment from you?
Yes, we can provide you with moving boxes, hand trucks, pallet trucks, trolleys and moving blankets. For the safe transport we lend among other things tension belts, blocking and clamping rods.
Do I have to refuel the rental car?
Yes. Please refuel what you have used in fuel. If a rental car is not refueled, we will do the refueling for you. In any case, a service fee of 15.00 EUR will be charged - plus the fuel costs.

Which driver's license do I need?
Rental cars up to 3.5 tons can be driven with a class B driver's license. For trucks up to 7.5 tons you need at least class C1. For trucks over 7.5 tons, at least class C is required. If the vehicle is to be used with a trailer, separate driving license classes apply in each case.
How are the cars insured?
Our vehicles are registered as self-drive rental vehicles! The vehicles are insured as follows in accordance with the applicable general conditions for motor vehicle insurance (AKB): Liability: 8.0 million euros lump sum for personal injury, property damage and financial loss.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?
For each rental, we offer to limit the deductible per claim for accident, tire and glass breakage damage. The deductible amount varies from vehicle group to vehicle group.
You can also choose from different liability reduction levels - CDW (Collision Damage Waiver). Our employees will be happy to advise you.
Where can I go with the rental car?
As a general rule, trips outside Germany require the prior written consent of the lessor in any case!
How can I book the rental car?
At ALLROUND you can easily reserve your rental car: by phone directly in the stations - by mail - by reservation form on our website - or you come to us personally!
What do I need to bring to the rental?
Please bring your driver's license, ID card or passport (+registration certificate), EC card (+200 € cash deposit) or your credit card.
Is there an age limit?
Yes. Vehicles may only be rented by persons who have held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years. For trucks over 7.49 tons, there is also a minimum age of 25 years.
Can the rental car be driven by more than one person?
Yes. The additional driver(s) must be named in the rental agreement prior to the start of the rental. An additional fee will be charged for the additional driver(s).
